Marwil Stables Annual Pro Open Timed Event Jackpot
Marwil
Stables’ goal
for 2004 is to award college scholarships to deserving young high school
students competing in Rodeo, with an interest
in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Sciences.
A portion of the proceeds from the Marwil Stables Annual Pro Open Timed
Event Jackpots will help us meet that goal. The expected attendance for
this multi-cultural event is 1,500 + in each of the host cities. For
small Texas towns, such as Lockhart, Seguin, and Fresno, that number
in attendance will make an economic impact on the city.
Marwil Stables is well aware of the impact that the sagging economy has
had on businesses and budgets are extremely tight. But consider this -
the
event could not be possible without the support of the local businesses
in
these towns and the surrounding areas. We are asking you for your support
by becoming an Awards Sponsor for one of these events.
Real
cowboys and cowgirls from all over the states of Texas, Oklahoma,
Louisiana and Mississippi will come together to participate in rodeos’ classic
timed events: Calf Roping, Team Roping, Barrel Racing and Steer Wrestling
as well as Jr. Breakaway and Jr. Barrel Racing. The Jackpot will
also be the qualifying venue for the Pony Express Relay Race. The
winning
teams will then race at the Cowboys of Color Rodeo being held the
next day for an additional $500.00 added money.
The Marwil Stables Pro Timed Events are sanctioned by the Cowboys of
Color Rodeo organization. These are professional cowboys and cowgirls
of African American, Hispanic, Native American and European descent.
